So in this ExxonMobil, I’m free to make any internal calls to anyone la. To ask them for documentation and explanation and stuff like that.
So there’s this one nice guy la, very friendly and cooperative and blablabla…..not relevant.
Anyway, he’s got this voice message which makes me say hello to the machine EVERYTIME.
Cause like normally, people’s voice messages like “You have failed to reach so-and-so blablabla…” So then you’ll go “Aiya, waste my money!”.
His starts with his saying his name “Ed***” then only followed by the automated “does not answer…blablabla”. You see, this is convincing cause, normally the people in this office answer with their name. Like “Rah***”, or “Nen**” or “Iz**” or “Che*”.
(The reason for the asterix-es is cause I don’t know if the employees’ names count as confidential information that I’m not allowed to disclose)
So ya lo. First time I called, I actually said “Hi Ed***, Xin Yi here from PwC.” before I heard the “does not answer…blablabla”. Felt so dumb loh.
And I’ve called him quite a number of times liao. And I still kena each and every time.
Sigh.
GAH just kena-ed again.
