Another site shows a picture of a red eared slider turtle which looks like a long-lost cousin of my kids.

I'm really lost.

My boy shalt be Tort@Turt and my girl shalt be Tiss@SheTle.

All worries cleared. They are a mix breed and have the best of both worlds. That's my explanation. Yay.
