Introduction
May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know
Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home
Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home
And you wonder why I again have "Home" lyrics in my post. As you can see, I only excerpted certain parts of the song that were relevant.
Sydney, is, as I remembered, busy. My fourth time to Sydney, and I think I actually walked the total distance that hmmm.... Ah Boy, Sheng AND Chi Yao walk in Malaysia in a month. In one half of a day.
And I'm very very grateful and thankful, for Gary to teman me that entire time. If he didn't, I'd just be walking round and round the city. Not lost, but just totally lame cause there's nothing to do.
People
Well, Sydney sure is a nice place to people-watch. As I told Ah Boy and Gary yesterday. I met a girl who wore a pants that was literally 10cms long. Yes, take out that measuring instrument of yours, look at how long 10cms is, OH YES. I mean, gosh why wear shorts that micro?? Some of my undies are longer than that, not that anyone needed to know that fact, but still, gosh!
And then as Gary and I continued walking up and down the busy streets, I came across this Asian girl who was hanging on to this man, old enough to be her granduncle and more. Hanging on to him so tight, like if she let go, she'd be blown by the tornado that was existent only in her eyes. I mean, I honestly don't believe there's any love in that sort of relationship. There's money and then there's sex. Where's the love? Oh well, FINE, if you're going to throw philosophies at me, there's love for the money, and love for the sex.
And bus drivers there, they seem like they have sticks up their behind. I mean, do most Sydneyians take a cold pill every morning? Is it really THAT hard to just respond to a cheery "Hello, thank you." with even a smile? It doesn't take all that many muscles to smile. Apparently, I read somewhere before, it takes way more to frown.
Food
Well anyway, all those aside, I think I ate enough in that one night to feed maybe 3 very hungry kids. You see, before we left, Ah Boy and I had Izumi. I decided to have the smaller portion, cause all the go-Sydney-eat-better-food-there. Full from Izumi, I sat on the slightly-more-than-3-hour-ride to Sydney. Reached there, met Gary, then we headed for dinner where I had an extremely creamy eel dish, which by the end of it, I was so stuffed with cream and cheese, can blueak. Then Ah Boy went for concert, Gary and I went walking around. Saw Easyway, had to get a bubble tea. Drink drink drink. Went to Chinatown, Gary bought Emperor Puffs. Not the greatest, but yeah, another item down the throat into the already bloated stomach. Then walk walk a bit more, then Gary hungry a bit liao, so we went to this placed called "Mamak" (we overheard some ang mohs pronouncing it as "Ma mek") and had nasi lemak I had mine with sambal sotong and Gary with curry chicken. I also had teh tarik.
And then this morning, I did actually somehow managed to digest alll that aforementioned gibberish and wanted breakfast. Bought an egg and bacon roll with one of the hardest breads ever. Ate it waay slowly, and am now officially stuffed for the entire day, if not two.
Pictures
Have loads on the cam, of me and hot dudes and Celine Dion. Not. I have horribly pathetic pictures of food and clouds and the highway. Oh and of something else. *eyes twinkling*.
Ah Boy on the way to Sydney. Very hardworking.
My eel doria i.e. the first dinner which nearly made me blueak.
My second dinner - nasi lemak, which took me two whole hours to finish.
Spidermates from Gary's neighbourhood.
Ah Boy on the way back. So hardworking.
And while I stared aimlessly out the window
Ah Boy was
And when I finished my book
Ah Boy was
And when (Sydney)
Turned into (Canberra)
Ah Boy was
As usual, pictures tell better stories. =)
Conclusion
I must not forget to thank Jubee, for her kind offering of her place for us to crash for the night, though we didn't.
And the kind offer of dinner somewhere near her place, though we didn't.
And thank Gary, for besides his company yesterday, he also provided shelter for the night.
And, thank Canberra, for being the lovely peaceful place that it is.
NB: The "Home" song above was dedicated to dear ol' Canbo. May you NEVER be as rowdy as Sydney.
