As I'm typing this, I just came from work and had to pay my rent, so I'm sitting in the library.
Shuey is on the way home! And will be home in approximately TWO HOURS! Yay!
And today, I realised I'm a huge grocery enthusiast. An IGA opened up in the city, and Diong and I went there, and we went absolutely ballistic! They were giving out free green bags with water in them, and giving out free chocolates, and free crumpets, and free wine! (Not that I drink wine, but still.)
Oh, get this, there were some stuff that were so cheap, I would've bought so much more if I had someone who could carry them all for me. The Smith's chips were at $0.99 a bag, the mandarins $1.49 a kilo, the tomatoes $0.99 a kilo, the pears $0.49 a kilo, the bananas $0.99 a kilo, a huge range of soft drinks at $0.69 per 2lt bottle, the persimmons at $0.99 a kilo and so much more.
I love cheap stuff. I bought three bagfuls and it cost me only about $10! I went on a frenzy buying but with the nagging sense of knowing that I would be unable to carry them all, I held back. =(
But, held back on my mouth I did not, I started running around, telling everyone I knew about the crazy grand opening, and persuading people to go and buy.
IGA should offer me remuneration for acting as a casual promoter.
Okay, time to head home for an unbakerying session (= shower).
I wish my Internet could start up soon. I'm having withdrawal symptoms.
