Yea right.

The following was directly copied from Meg Cabot's How To Be Popular...When You're A Social Reject Like Me, Steph L. :

Cinderella Didn't Wait For Her Prince

One of the biggest mistakes girls can make concerning their romantic life is sitting around waiting for their prince to find them, rather than getting out there and looking for him themselves.

Don't forget, Cinderella actively pursued her prince, by getting dressed up and going to the ball.

True, she had the help of a fairy godmother...but she dazzled Prince Charming all on her own.

So don't wait for your prince to find you - get out there and show him what you've got.

Haha.
Yea right.

Boringdays.

Holidays. Boringdays.

I just did 3 loads of laundry today. Haha. And I've got one more load to do. Haven't done laundry in bout...let's see...a month? And they were in 2 piles both individually stacking up to bout Rach's height. And she complains bout it often. And today I finally summoned the hardworkingness to sort it in piles and wash it.

And I still have some loose items that need to be handwashed. Guess those'll take forever. Bleah.

And I've been sleeping at the weirdest times. All thanks to my assignment that day.

You see, I worked on that assignment from bout 9pm till the next day bout 11am. Yes I spent that entire time in the comp lab. Then I handed it up and got home and cleansed myself of complabness. Then I stayed up cause I had wet hair and in the end only fell asleep at 3pm. Then woke up at 12am. And then slept at 7am. Then woke up at 2pm. Then slept at 6am. Then woke up at 3pm. You get the idea.

Till now, yes look at the time I'm posting this, my sleeping times are still wonked. I'm very widely awake as I type this. Sigh.

And my big koh, who just turned super old (29) yesterday (technically 2 days ago), sent me this link to Petronas ads this year. And I watched all of them. And I fell in love with the one with Tan Hong Ming and Umi Qazrina.

And then I want my Tan Hong Ming.

And then I'm so bored and restless at home. But too lazy to get out of the house.

And then. And then loh.

Blah. Bblobb.

Crossed over to the dark side.

For the sakes of my beloved Ah Shun, Piu Lai and Miss Tan, I shall post this up, just so they can see that one night that I crossed over to the dark side. I shall only put up the darker ones. There are some which the usual part of me surfaced (I smiled) and these of course are a no-no.

Event: International Ball
Theme: Once upon a time...

Character: Snow White's Evil Queen

For some funny reason, most people felt compelled to be taking a bite off my apple.

Well, if anyone cared, the very photogenic apple is still with me, sitting in my fruit bowl, waiting to be eaten. =)

And yes, pardon the *ahem* very high slit. I did wear tights beneath, just in case.

Weird dream.

Just 2 nights ago those of us in Canberra (or those interested anyway) celebrated our nation's 50th independence (a week early) in a night planned by UMNO ACT aptly named "Malam Merdeka". And I was the (one of four) host for the night.

Anyway, that isn't what I'm going to blog about. I was going to talk bout my weird dream that I had that afternoon (that I skipped work so that I could run home to sleep and rest so that I would at least be mildly alive during the night).

So in this dream, I was also sick, and also sleeping. But I was back home. And then some time through my sleeping, I was transported, still sleeping, but at my grandparents' house.

Then I remember stirring then I was like "Eh, what am I doing here?". My brother replied me, "You sick what. You sleeping la. We're at ah kong's house.". I just accepted the answer and went back to sleep.

A short while after, I jumped up and "Eh, what am I doing here? I have a merdeka thing I have to be at tonight!", and then I started to panic and kept saying "I have to go! I have to go! I have to be at this merdeka thing tonight! I'm the mc!".

My brother couldn't console me any longer then my mom appeared. And she went "What merdeka thing? Aiyo, you sick just continue to rest la. No need to go what merdeka thing la." And I continued to rant "Cannot cannot I'm the mc I have to be at the merdeka thing. I told them I'll be there already!".

Then my mom finally caved in and then next thing I knew we were in the car. And I kept asking her to speed up cause we were going to be late.

For some funny reason how we can drive all the way from Malaysia to Australia still amazes me but never crossed my mind at that point in time.

And then police car lights started flashing. And my mom and I went "uh oh!". But then I screamed "Just go faster!", and she heeded my saying and stepped on it.

Zoooooooommm...!

And we had the police car chasing us from behind, trailing us closely.

Bee boo bee boo bee booo!!

Panic increased, but we just kept speeding down the highway.

We nearly crashed into a few cars.

Speeding speeding speeding.

Then I screamed really loudly as we very very nearly crashed into something.

And I woke up.

Guess that shows how much tension I had for the night huh...

Tardiness pays off?

I signed up for a Consumer Behaviour research on "Potential Honours Students". I only signed up for it cause Rach told me to.

The exact scenario of how she told me to:
(I just came back from class)
Rach: So are you interested in pursuing honours after your degree?
Me: Urm...no..?
Rach: WRONG ANSWER! You're supposed to say yes.
Me: Yes...?
Rach: Good! So now you can sign up for the research participation and get $40 Co-op voucher.
Me: Oh cool!

So ya, I did. Then the lady kept confirming with me that I was attending, and I kept saying yes yes yes.

Then (it's today. Just 14 minutes ago to be exact), I was late for the thing. I was supposed to be there at 12.30pm. I reached at 12.35pm.

Then someone was standing at the door.
She was like are you here for the research?
I said ya.
Then she was like "Oh, I'm sorry. They actually already have enough people for it. I think they overestimated the number. So could you just sign here?", and then she handed me my $40 voucher.
So I was like, urm...so there's nothing for me to do?
She said, "No, I'm sorry. Thank you for your time though."

There you go. Tardiness does pay off sometimes.

Where can lah.

So there's this girl who works at the bakery with me. Let's call her August.

Strike one.
Her first day at work, she came 40 minutes late. She blamed her tardiness on my providing her with wrong information. Stupid. And she works slow.

Strike two.
She came the next week one hour earlier. Weird but acceptable. But then again the next week. Weird, still acceptable. Then nearing 3, she tells boss that she has to go at 3. Silly. Tell la earlier, can die is it. And she learns slow.

Strike three.
She didn't come early today. Nor did she show up at all. At 1.15pm (she was supposed to work at 1), her friend called and mentioned that she was sick and couldn't come to work. I mean, can't she let boss know earlier so he could arrange something or at least be prepared for it? You sick very sudden wan ah. I'm sure you knew by morning that you were sick and can't work what. Silly.

Strike four.
Got home after class and then Rach was going through the bus survey timetable, and it occurred to me, August might have ditched bakery job for her other job : the bus survey.
Sure enough she did.
Wah lao how can you do such a thing.

I so feel like ratting her out. Just cause she's just mean and evil to treat Mr. Miller like that.

Like, gosh, don't you know how to appreciate a good boss?

For laughters.

I came across this really hilarious thing as I was reading a friend's blog.

These excerpts are actual answers given on history tests and in Sunday school quizzes by children between 5th and 6th grade ages in Ohio. They were collected over a period of 3 years by 2 teachers.

You don't have to be Christian to enjoy the jokes. Some of them are just wrong grammatically or wrong usage of English.

For copyright/non-plagiarism purposes, I shall just include the link here and you can read from her site.

She did steal from her sister though. =)

A new me?

There's something changing within me.

It all started with me completing my Friday 3pm tute by 12pm. (Yes that is a huge step for me. Normally it's either incomplete or completed earliest 2.50pm.)

And then, Wednesday tutes were prepared and completed on Monday.

And then Friday tutes were worked on on Tuesday.

I'm frightening the heck out of myself. I even feel weird saying, "Oh I finished that tute yesterday."

I really liked the old me. The one who does no work, doesn't go to class, studies two days before for finals, and scraping by with Credits.

But there's no saying I won't like the new me.

That said, I don't know how long this hardworking thing is going to last.
