Today at work (I work in a bakery), a customer requested for a chookooroo cheep moofeen.
He was asking for a chocolate chip muffin.
I do not intend to, in any way, criticise anyone or cause hurt to anyone about the way they talk. But, I find it funny, and I hope you do too.
Anyway, as I was saying, there are people who can't seem to pronounce words right. It could be their accent, or their lack of pronounciation classes, or something else. Hey, I'm not saying I'm perfect, I have my times.
But hey, some of these are frequent customers, yet I find them hilarious each and every time they order:
- A chicken mushroom roll becomes a chicken mashimaro roll
- A mushroom and cheese bun becomes a mashirumi and cheese
- A cheese and bacon steak pie becomes a cheese bahkon pie
- A tomato sauce becomes a potato sauce
- A blueberry pie becomes a buhlubelly pie
- A garlic butter scroll becomes a garlic booteer scroll
- A sausage roll becomes a soosej roll
"Can I have FREE donuts prease?"
The customer was asking for three donuts.
But hey, not all the fun is in the customers. There's some among my colleagues as well.
Customer : Hi. I'd like a small chocolate donut please.
Colleague : Oh. Donut? Which one would you like? We have cinnamon ones or iced ones. For iced ones, we have large or small, chocolate, caramel or strawberry.
Now, who wouldn't kill to have my job? =)
