Swimming in dry water.

Lots of talk about swimming lately huh. I should really do the ACTUAL activity soon, before my membership expires.

Anyway, today I learnt how to play mahjong (aka swimming in dry water in Chinese slang). Just saying the words is already half the fun!

Phung.
Khung.
Tai phung phung.
Tai sam yun.
Sai sam yun.
Kai wu.
Pak pan.
Sek.
Sap sam yiu.
Chi mo.
Yat sok.
Gao tong.
Luk man.

Aiyo!

And then Sheng Wei was so elated about the shuffling of the tiles (the dry water swimming part of the game).

And we had Sifu Kar How who taught us the game and then spent some time walking around teaching us how to play it right.

And then there was Chia Pei who had the if-I-can't-win-I-also-won't-let-you-win attitude.

Oh how fun! Too bad we won't get to play for long. The borrowed mahjong set has to be returned to its owner tomorrow.

Sorry you missed it Chi Yao. You boast bout Malaysia some more la. We have our fun here. Hmph! =P
