Hilarious instructions.

During the PIKOM PC Fair, my mom bought an MP3 player, which so obviously was Made In China lah.

So I’m like so restless and so bored, so I brought the manual with me to read, so I can teach my mom how to use it.

First page: Precautions
2. Don’t fall down the player when using it.
- “cannot fall down the player”. This I haven’t heard before.

3rd page: Description of Keys Function
(1) In Off state, long press the key to turn on the player.
- “long press”. Whatever happened to the word “hold”.

4th page: (Continuation of Description of Keys Function)
(7) Earphone jack
It’s used to connect to the earphone.
- Oh WOW, thank you SO much, for I never would’ve figured THAT out.

(8) Power Switch
Move the key to On position to open the power of player.
Move the key to OFF position to close the power of player. If the player is not used, please move the switch to OFF position.
- I have not edited any part of the manual, and as you can see, they can’t even uniformise their usage of ON and OFF.
- And then hor, I wonder what powers I will unleash loh. Have to OPEN wan. Scared to turn it on liao.

But amidst all these language problems, I’d say its a pretty handy tool. It’s an MP3 player cum recorder cum radio cum telephone book cum I-don’t-know-what-else.

Maybe I should get one too. Just have to wait for my first paycheck. And to Low Yat I head.
