Meh ka chao tao.

Translates to “Scold until smelly head”, if I were to translate it word-for-word lah.

Technically it means, kena scolding until quite bad la. Sort of like the “bla bla lam tao” in Cantonese, which I think also means the same thing.

So anyway, just bout 15 minutes ago, one of the staff actually came to my manager and asked “Why are you asking bout such-and-such? Isn’t it out of your scope? Why this year you all are asking so many things to so many people? If I knew you would be involving so many people, I would have allocated more staff….blablabla (I tuned out and concentrated on my ONE piece of work today)”.

WAH. So ganas.

So then, my manager was like, “You see, it is not out of the audit scope. It just happened that I needed to gain comfort from such-and-such areas and so-and-so wasn’t the person who I could talk to regarding such-and-such matter. So-and-so redirected me to so-and-so-number-two. Also, you must realise, auditing isn’t a routine thing. It’s not that every year we just follow as per last year, follow follow follow only. (Wah, this part I was like, I think I now understand how it’s possible to insult someone nicely.)….blablabla (I again tuned out cause I think I’m finishing off today’s work liao)”

So, I guess that’s an example of how to deal with difficult clients, aye?
