Family first.

Sometimes family just has to come first. There are those times, and there are the times when you just make it come first just so you make your mom feel better. Hold on, haha, mom’s part of family too. So, well, sometimes family just has to come first.

Even if it’s two horrifyingly annoying cousins, both aged 9 coming to spend the week with you. And all because your mom feels like it’s a fun week for you to babysit so she brings along with her (on the trip back from the hometown) two of 4 of your most annoying cousins. Sure, I’m glad she didn’t bring along all 4 of them. If she did, I’ll positively refuse to hold any responsibilities for their being locked in the bathroom or gagged and stuffed under the bed.

So due to these 2 (apparently adorable) cousins, I, as the older sister who just came back from Australia and is free to do anything under the sun (which technically is true), have to put on hold all my plans for the week. Which incidentally happens to be quite a lot, when compared to the fact that last year I had absolutely nothing on my agenda.

You see, for this wondrous week (that is now filled from 7am till 12am with babysitting), I haD planned:
- a lunch,
- a visit to the PC Fair,
- loads of shopping trips during the weekend because of the Year-End Sale,
- opening a bank account as per PwC’s request,
- making new specs (just cause I think it’s time),
- checking my results and complaining about them to my lecturers, and
- surfing the net aimlessly either in my mom’s office or at Starbucks.

See, pretty hectic right? I haven’t included my sleeping times of at least 12 hours a day, my show marathons of at least 5 hours a day and my ASTRO channel surfing of at least 1 hour a day. Not much time left after subtracting all these essentials is there? Haaaaaaaa…..

Sigh, a teary goodbye to my last week of holidays before work starts. *sniff*
