This morning, I had breakfast in a restaurant or rather kopitiam that truly reflects the One Nation, One Race propoganda that our government always repeats.
According to my senior, this kopitiam has been around ever since she was a kid. It used to be a Chinese kopitiam. Now, it's a Malaysian kopitiam.
The shop was made up of Chinese stalls, Malay stalls and Indian stalls as well. And the foods sold included Char Koay Teow (Chinese), Nasi Lemak (Malay) and Maggi Goreng (Indian). And they were all harmoniously selling their respective foods.
As I sat and ate there, I felt "Wow, this is what a country free of racism feels like.". And I really liked the feeling.
Too bad this feeling can't be felt throughout the country.
