Change, perhaps?

As is with everyone's hype over our Malaysian election, I'll join in the "fun".

I must admit, I am not very politically inclined, never was, don't see it happening in the future. But yesterday night, as I was in Ah Boy and Sheng's place, watching the election results live on Channel NewsAsia, I was actually pretty excited!

Having known not much about any party, really, all I knew was what I've been hearing, bits and pieces from everywhere. About how PAS is this all-Islamic party and if they ruled, Chinese and Indians say bye bye Malaysia. About how DAP is this Chinese party that would offer Chinese more rights if they won. Stuff like that. Oh of course, there's the BN is so horrible that they should be shunned.

And as BN lost many many seats yesterday, it got more and more interesting. It was like, wow, I'm watching live democracy in action! With sooo many people going on about how they would be voting for the opposition this year, just to deny BN their 2/3 majority, it actually seemed like it was happening. And it did.

Having lost 5 whole states, including both the states where I stay and where my hometown is, I hope there'll be a change towards the better. Shah Alam is now under PAS, and Kedah is under DAP (I think).

What changes can there be? Don't ask me. I REALLY have zilch idea.

But heck, any change is good. Cause change means people have moved on. And moving on is DEFINITELY good.
