Today was my first day at Target. It's the first time I have to dress up in a professional manner for work. Quite a mature feeling, I must say.
So I went in to work 10 minutes early (WOOOO~~~) and put stuff in my locker and stood around waiting for my manager.
Then, already knowing I was doing Kidswear/Menswear, I figured I'd be standing around that area doing stuff. I just didn't realise what "stuff" constitute. Today I sure found that out.
I basically go from rack to rack, arranging things according to size, type, colour, style, blablabla. Then go to the shelf and arrange and fold.
Quite my dream job I must say, the perpetual folding and arranging, except the dream job gets boring after 3 rounds of the same (around) 10 songs playing over and over and over again. And not such a dream job when you arrange then 2 seconds later turn around and find all your arrangements messed up.
So I decided while perpetually folding and arranging that I would ask if I could switch to registers. Sure I won't be able to steal bones but it sure is more exciting and I get to handle money and meet humans and smile at people. I wanted to talk to my manager after work but she was busy, so I'll be asking her when I go in to work tomorrow. Cross fingers and hope to get it!
Tomorrow will be another full-ish day. Morning bakery, afternoon "Sasaran" (Target). =) Banyak luit lo!
