*sob*

The people in the house were getting excited. The post was coming soon and it will carry with it vital information that can make or break their future.

It was one of those two-storey terrace houses, with a car parked out on the porch.

All but one were excited about the post reaching. And that one (A) did not want to participate in whatever was going on in the house. He went out, opened up the boot (it was one of those SUV cars) and climbed into the boot and played his guitar and sang his heart out.

The girl was very worried. She didn't feel too healthy, and various probable illnesses kept popping through her mind. What if...they found a tumour? What if...it turns out that the pimple was more than just a pimple? What if...that lump she has been ignoring the past weeks turn out to be something so much more? What would she do if she failed the test? She'd have to return home, all alone, shunned by the rest of her family for the disappointment she brought to them all.

As these thoughts frantically raced through her head, the post came and went. There were X-rays for Daddy, for Mommy, for Brother, for Cousin, for Aunt. Where was hers? She tried to race after the delivery person, but not even the shadows were to be found.

Amidst the X-rays that came in the post, she found a letter addressed to her. She opened it up.

Dear Miss,
We are sorry to inform you that you have failed the health examination this time around. It seems that your check shows us that you do not comply with our requirements. However, we will not disclose more details in the letter. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact our administration desk.
Thank you.

She ran to a corner of the house, and cried her heart out. She'd been waiting for such a long time. All the hard work she put in. All the effort she spent. All the time she wasted.

Guy A emerged from nowhere, asked her if she was okay, then proceeded to cradle and soothe her. In between her tears, she was sad, but also glad that Guy A was there for her in her time of need.

In the background, all the rest of the people in the house were celebrating as it was a joyous moment for them...all but the two left outside.

*It was actually just a really simple scene from my dream last night, but I got into the mood to turn it into a story. Not too bad for an impromptu hor? =P
